its cool, i just dont get it, i mean, the upper piece is quite like some japanese stuff from the 30s, and the lower part looks like a damaged ww2 documentary photo. and you put it in a diary.

Hehe, nice that you ask. I think I can solve the riddle for you... the lower part is not from WWII, it shows at least F-86 Thunderchiefs from the US Air Force - and those planes fought during the Korea war 1950-1953. That's why I added the asian stuff on the upper piece.
So, why did I name that Funeral 1955 and put it into a book? The war ended 1953, but both North and South Korea still didn't sign a peace treaty. Anyway, the book is a symbol for a reminder of wars. The WWII just ended and people had no other things to do than fighting the next one. It seems that everybody was ready for his own funeral in that times

I really like this piece. My only problem with it is the top left corner. It seems like a mistake to me because the other edges are so dirty and textured that that top bit is distracting. Maybe that's just nitpicky, but otherwise I really like what you've made.
