excellent marker coloring! it's my favorite dry media, so versatile! i see you also used colored pencil for further blending and highlights, nice nice. you wouldn't believe the number of artists i have come across that haven't thought to use to two in conjunction with each other.
what kind of markers did you use?

i used some prismacolors and some cheap brush pens. i've had a lot of marker practice since this drawing so i'd like to try this one over.

i'm definitely a fan of the marker/pencil combo. whatever works, right? thanks for the comment and checking out my work!

i see you do tattoos. i'm thinking about getting into that myself. how'd you get started? apprenticeship?

and generally, marker/colored pencil combo almost always works!

yeah, i did an apprenticeship in vincennes, IN. currently, i'm not tattooing, but saving up for equipment to do so. no shop in evansville will hire me otherwise, heh.
it's fairly difficult to land an apprenticeship, and once you do, it's no easier from there. it's fairly elitist (if you're going to learn from anybody GOOD, and then again, anyone mediocre) so it's not something you just "get into". harsh but true! after you're trained and on you're own, yer just more competition, yanno?
however, you do have artistic skill, and that is definitly a huge plus.

Thanks for the response and the compliment

I collaborated on the design of my last tattoo with the tattoo artist who inked me. He offered me a chance to "tryout" tattooing (he was a 9 year professional at the time) but I turned it down because I had reservations. Now I'm wishing I could take that decision back but I'm living and learning. If I go back and talk to him, its hard to say if he'll feel the same way. I guess I could give it a shot. There's also a shop n walking distance from me I've been meaning to check out. We'll see how it goes.

Hope you get your equipment soon! You've got skills!
