Hello. This thing might actually work out. Mechanic in the back pulls the bowstring with the slide, the slide pulls an arrow out of the magazine, shoot...simple and fast reload system.Blender/cycles

I was wondering this, too... some kind of spring, to either launch everything forward, and/or a spring in the front that launches/re-cocks everything backward? That system may make the string itself useless, as its some kind of rail-catapult thing. I have no idea.

If it was a double crossbow system, firing the bolt could pull back the second one, it would be heavier, but it would also work.

Yeah, could work, but you're still relying on a power source that needs changing/charging. If you could have springs reacting with each other, or magnetics or something, the energy's free, minus the occasional "adjust by hand" situations.Β
