i thought, a better, newer system would deliver faster renders with a lot more samples in no time.That is wrong?

hmm well it just depends. most likely you'll get some faster renders @ higher samples yes, but it just depends on your setup.
i think rendering also uses alot of ram, so even an upgrade to faster larger ram might give you better performance.

i think it was on blender guru. some tips to get faster results, simple stuff that makes a small difference. thanks for ruin my new "safe money for a better system" finance policy...damn... i am not disciplined enough

i think what's important is mostly if you enjoy working on your system even if its not the "fastest or "best".
