Description
Concept of futuristic revolver.Design is based on usual profile but there is power pack instead of drum. Hammer is replaced by pin. When you pull that pin you release mechanism. Body is open by turning front part down and power pack can be ejected.Β Β
Worked in 3ds max, used vray rendering engine and finished it in photoshop. Model is highpoly.
So what do you think. Do you like it or not? tnx for comments if any. bye.

Revolvers really are one of my favourite types of gun. They're compact, cool looking and they are most certainly consistent and reliable. I see what you were going for here with a more sleek and mechanical sci-fi look and it presents itself well. as usual, it doesn't really need any annotations because looking closely you can see how it fires. I really like how it looks as if the projectile would exit through the centre as it gives it a sense of uniqueness compared to regular revolvers like the Mp412-rex or the Ruger Vaquero. It doesn't really need any fancy colours or large barrels to look sci-fi and this captures that concept perfectly.

Another piece that shows dedicated time and skill. The render is beautiful and polished, the model is filled to the brim with complex detail. Nice touch with the handgrip logo as well!
The barrel is very cool, very complicated looking and the ribbed features help to make the weapon look more energy based as opposed to a simple smoother barrel. The lighting also captures the weapon in great detail.
My biggest criticism is the overall design, it still looks too much like a revolver not a power weapon. The ribbed barrel helps to signify that it is not a cartridged based weapon but it still feels like it takes .357 rounds.

tnx mate for comment.
render sia made by v-ray. so far I am satisfy with that render engine. Scene is simple. just floor and 3 lights. And to save a time in modeling. Smaller parts I used over and over on my models to make it quick.Β
This one has exact profile of stantart revolver but I plann to do some more crazy concepts in the future.Β

I love the design! As I said in my comment I think the grip needs something to make it seem more designed to fit humans. That or make the seam that is visible an obvious replaceable grip component for different sizes. What I think would help with readability in the design is if you included other power-packs and possibly a view with the gun open as though swapping out the pack. It would help communicate to the viewer that it is in fact something entirely different from a classical revolver. The red dot sights are fine, but most guns have the forward dot a different color for quick acquisition. Keep in mind that the image/images should communicate the design almost entirely on their own. You shouldn't have to write a paragraph describing how it works. That should be visible in the design.

Hi.
tnx for comments. I know you are right. Grip needs som detailings and also models used to be presented with full background information/infographic explaining technology and principle of work.Β But all that require time.Β
Therefore I used only simple grip and background info I leave for watcher's immagination.

Really looks incredible . Has this one's copyrights been sold already like the other ones ? Because I'd really like to try 3D printing it if you don't mind sharing the 3D ^^

A revolver-style energy pistol with break-loading... words cannot express how much I want one of these to be not only real, but legally in my posession!

Whatever this gun is made for and however you shot it (thinking of the fact the barrel is in the centre and the champers with the bullets are NOT in the centre) this little "baby" looks awesome!
Hard, cold and very mechanical steel (or titanium) with a great amount of details meets smooth, white and polished ivory - a kind or perverse combination if you think about the "soft" and "clean" part must be very gentle to the hand and skin while the "hard" and "dirty/dark" part is just made for killing or bringing "peace" to the target.
I'm missing bolts or screws - the gun has so many "old-school" elements like the hammer at the end and the drum - but even if this is future stuff this "baby" needs to put together in some way and therefore you normally would use some mechanical part like screws, that also would more details to the hole concept.
There is no need to talk about the rendering, because you know you doing a very impressive and great job!Β

I love the shape of this gun, and the design reads as very sturdy. My only beef is with the spur on the back of the grip, it seems like it would be uncomfortable.Β

This pistol reminds me the ones on the Destiny game Series, i like the kind of magazine these had i can waste less time like that instead putting a bullet per bullet in the Chamber
