Hello. This thing might actually work out. Mechanic in the back pulls the bowstring with the slide, the slide pulls an arrow out of the magazine, shoot...simple and fast reload system.Blender/cycles

Awesome design. I was trying to make and automatic crossbow pistol awhile back and ended up with a funky angled clip deal with an anti-gravity field as the firing mechanism (more like a rail gun, really) ...yeah, I think I need to rethink it.

An automatic crossbow isn't a new thing, I think the chinese used them a number of centuries ago if I remember correctly. Nice design though

I really dig the design, but when looking through a scope sort of design (red dots included) you want the scope as close to your eye as possible. You could probably get away with having a holographic sight that far forward but even then it isn't ideal. Regardless, I'm still really digging the design

Also when shooting a compound bow in archery, you'll use a scope which is will be at or just beyond arm's length away from you face. Though, compound bows' do have a Peep sight in the bow string to compensate.

scope on a handgun. Do you have it as close to your eye as possible too? It is good where it is.

Hey man, meant no disrespect. Have you ever shot a scoped weapon? It really is quite difficult to shoot a scope when the eye and scope are distant. Most handguns that have reticles use something like Burris' sights for quick target acquisition; though an EOTech holographic sight would, in theory work. Most handguns that use actual, magnified scopes are things like revolvers with very long barrels, meaning it's exclusively used for distant targets where the shooter has time to align his shot. Given the short range of a crossbow, I just don't see it being very practical.
But we've digressed now into gun talk and away from your artistic prowess. From an artistic standpoint, this is a very nicely done high-poly and I appreciate the creativity that went into it. Like I said, I sincerely appreciate the design and do not mean to tear it down with nit-picky design choices. Just sent a request for it to be featured in our group: [link]
