Description The Achenor Method (3D) is a revolutionary gun design used as a support weapon. The Achenor uses two unique attachments never seen on the battlefield before, perspective and multi purpose scopes along with a rotary quick reload magazine (ARM=automatic reloading mechanism).

The scope uses night vision combined with thermal imagining to allow a single image to be viewed by the user. Since night vision and infrared both have advantages over each other, it makes it more effective because when combined the bright images given off from infrared scopes are perfect for seeing people and the night vision allows viewing of equal thermal energy objects where the thermal imaging can not. The scope is also perspective, so you can easily see differences in range from two points, a similar concept to having two eyes or binoculars.

The ARM is a simple device to allow quick reloading. The advantage it has over large bag or box magazines is adaptability. The ARM frame can be removed to be used basically as an assault rifle instead of a PMG (portable machine gun, basically a smaller LMG)

Standard 7.62x51mm rounds.
each quart magazine has a maximum capacity of 55 rounds for a total of 220 rounds.

wow. Brilliant ideas going on here and great modelling too! It looks like you've put a lot of thought into how this thing would work. great stuff.

Thanks very much

and yea I've put a lot of thought into how it works, still more of a concept than something that would work in reality however.

Please forgive me for being a nit-picker, but infrared and thermal imaging are two different things. What we call "Night vision" is actually a camera designed to see in the infrared spectrum (That is, light with a higher wavelength than red light,) and a high strength "Flash light" that produces only infrared light. Because infrared light is invisible to humans, it can be used as a way of maintaining the cover of darkness while giving the users the advantage of sight.

Thermal imaging, on the other hand, is basically a sensitive electronic thermometer that changes the signals it receives into a grey-shade (Or occasionally colored) picture or video.

I never knew night vision was infrared, i have thought of the idea of using infrared lights as a way to see by emitting them and receiving them, i didn't know that's what it was though. basically my idea was just combining that white and grey imaging one which is thermal with the green one which is night vision to get a clearer image contrasted image while retaining the bright white from heat off of people.
