Description So, something a bit outside of my usual repertoire.

This is a set of renders  of a 3D model of a 1930s-style automobile. I think you've all read the title before. It's not inspired by any specific automobile, but it does take inspiration of high-class cars like the Mercedes-Benz W07, Cadillac V-16 or the second generation Chrysler Imperial. As can be told from one of last year's deviations , I'm a bit of a car guy myself and this is just an extention thereof. What this is however inspired by is the sprite you may have noticed in the preview image, it's the oldtimer car from my set of Urban Unit Zone mock-ups  for Sonic Time Corruption. Not a 1:1 recreation of it, the lights are in different positions, the front is different and the original sprite doesn't have bumpers, but it's close enough.

This isn't my first rodeo with 3D modelling software, which is why I managed to make this in about 2-3 days. I've made a few models before, most for private reasons (like using them for reference when spriting, as it's easier than imagining how things would spin or move in 3D), but this is the first I'm going to show off and, maybe, release should somebody have a need and use for it. I've used fragMotion for this, an old tool originally designed for Quake 3, Doom 3 and Half-Life modding (yes, it's that old), but it's easy to use as it allows me to place and move vertices at and to exact values. Also, it has a sprite exporter tool build in, which let me animate this very easily and quickly.
