Description
This is a remake (Yes, I said remake, as I didn't have the original file at hand) of the Mock-Up of Cyan Coast Zone Act 1 (fav.me/d93p143 ).This time, I wanted to show you all the revisited day/night-system, as I imagined it to be. That doesn't mean it'll look like this in-game (it's all up to Bluecore, if he can program it), but this is how I want it to be. The times of the day are, moring (6AM), day (12AM), evening (6PM) and midnight (12PM). I chose these particular times, as they show the filters in their most intense form.
What you might notice, in compairson to the original image, is:
-There are 2 filters (the original build had one, that overshaded all of the game), one for the foreground and one for the background. Since people didn't like the intensity of the original filters, I intentionally weakend the foreground filter
-The clouds change colours according to the time of the day. This is merely a detail, but I really liked how they now look.
-The sky is now a gradient image, with a sun and moon image, that scrols across the far background layer. This gives the day/night-system an additional layer of realism and detail, but slightly messes with it aswell (e.g. the evening sky looks a bit dark).
Now, since I (re)made this Mock-Up using this style, I won't make the next Mock-Ups this way too. They will continue to use the normal sky and cloud colours for simplicities sake.
