...Time Zone Comparison Mock-Ups
That's a lot of times and a lot of zones.

A mere 14 months after the reveal of the stage, I can finally bring you more of it. Same ordeal as last time, Zone 1 of Sonic Time Corruption is the archetypal "Green Something Zone", in form of the lifted Tropical Trouble Zone. Whereas you've only seen the "Present" variation of the stage last time, you now can see the full extend of the stage in a triptych of mock-ups. Beneath the present lies the "Past", an uncharted jungle deep into the island. Global warming is probably to blame for the zone being closer to the coast later. At the bottom is the "Alternative Present", our variation of the Good Future from Sonic CD. Without evil infuence, changes are subtle, but obvious. The trees are used to generate clean energy and the industry beyond the mountainside is gone.

There's a lot of people who lend me a hand in creation of these images, so hold on tight. Most of the credit goes out to my good friend WizToad , who made most of the foliage in this image. The trees, past variation of the bridge, the folowers, all his. He also made that Sonic sprite, based on a design by Caliginous_Arts . TechBlade9000 helped me with the palette of the Alternative Present, as he's a master of the sunset feel. The layout you can see here was made by LilacChips , one of our level designers and Dolphman aka. retrobunyip made that dragonfly badnik that is crashing into Sonic, after a sketch of mine. Lastly, SoniKast did some smaller touches on the HUD back when we made it and A.NB gave me the motivation I needed to made ring-bouncing code, which is why the position of the rings is so intricate accurate. It counts, it's emotional support.
