Description
Done within a few hours, possibly 2-4.I decided that I wanted to start using colored craft paper as well, specifically for portraits done with Prismacolor pencils; so here it is!
I shall be doing several more like this for references of all colored paper available for this commission.
Also, instead of scanning it as usual, I had to take a picture since it was a bit larger than the typical 8" x 11" paper I use, and our scanner isn't quite big enough to do so.
I had trouble, though, noticing that his left eye was off a bit once I'd already pretty much finished the darn thing, so I added more eye-shadow to the right and a bit more mascara to help level it out. Having to sketch on black paper with a led pencil didn't exactly help either.
It's almost hardly noticeable now, I think, so at least I was able to hide the mistake.
And yes, the marks on his skin are tattoos.
(Such as the broken heart.)

Thank you so much! >//v/<
It is hard working with craft paper, especially when it's darker than your sketching pencil... ovo;
Coloring it wasn't very encouraging at first, either...
It tooks some layering to make sure the skin was bright enough.

It's been a while since I did something in dark paper, but I understand how is it ;-; probably I can't do it xD not looking like that (you make me think I could try... maybe I will...)
hahaha, it's hard, but the skin looks good, and I love the effect of the hair too

Yeah... I struggled a little along the way.
X3 Aw, really? Then go for it! I think you could do it~
I do, too. ^^ When the roots are similar to the paper, it really helps.
I'm planning on drawing quite a few more of these, though I need to get the raffle prizes first (And a friend's birthday present.).

Yeah, it feels like it never ends, mostly because you have new stuff to do right after, I think.

Yeah... o - o; Like how I can only use my thicker inking pen right now, since the thinner one is jammed up and needs soaking...
It's an older design.
