New Year, New Theme
I always wanted a chrome and glass theme so here it is.Quartz GuiKit Pack contains:
Windowblind for XP with 4 substyles - Right and Left sided glyphs with alternate startbuttons
Windowblind for Vista with 4 substyles - Right and Left sided glyphs with alternate startbuttons
Styler Toolbar
Avetunes Player Skin
Miranda/iChat skin
Dock tabs for ObjectDock
It's better on Vista because it has the effect I was going for. Stupid XP made me do a seperate frame

the task bar seems to be glassy but not around the actual windows. Hope i explained it better this Time..

Odd, it should be showing glass but I can see it's using the bmp frame. Under settings on windowblinds, have u got it ticked to never use per pixel?

open windowblind and click system info, right down the bottom it just be unticked

yeah. Im wondering if you are having the same issue i initially had with new wb6. My themes were applying the same way, using bmp frames instead of the per pixel frames. You could either ask stardock about it or consider purchasing the full version. Either method will fix it i think. I have the full version and that seemed to fix the problem

i have installed the theme using windows blinds for xp and used the styler bar, but still doesn't show the glassy look.

Hi caramac1 ! I had the experienced the same a long time ago when trialing WindowBlinds as well... What you should know is that the trial has limitations.
It leaves parts of the theme unskinned and some functions, features are disabled. Purchasing WindowBlinds would solve your issue.

the theme is not bad at all, i would recomend you to forget the apple start menu icon on your themes, ( i am a mac user ) to give it what it deserves, a windows look, other than that, looks good, the chrome itself is nicely done, and that's what cought my eye on this...
i see skills... but not yet a perfect looking theme theme. ( this comment is mostly an overall critique to all gallery..and it's resumed on that, a critique... )

i know you prefer it, it's completelly obvious, cant blame you for that, but... look at ~kol, and other VS themers, they can make wonderful things for Windows, i do believe you can do that too, at least once in a lifetime....and... what makes you keep being a windows user for so long?
we may have our differences due to the Enzo thing, but well, my critique was intended to be positive, guess you took it as positive, and i appreciate that.

Windows based themes always look sucky in my opinion and there is a huge amount of people out there that prefer making there system look like a different OS. Thats half the fun. Just switching OS spoils it. 50,000 downloads for my last macish theme shows its a good base

i know, i've been a windows user for... more than 10 years...and i have used some themes from you and asty ( Roike...remember?
once again i say, i know it's your style, but doing that you're targeting an audience, and not your personal taste, or i am wrong?
there can be done wonderful desktop environments and that really works on windows, and well, you could be a good feeder for them... that's just what i want to say with all this convo...
cuz we all know, they only want the themes "for the shot" they load Luna or anything else as soon as they can, cuz windows XP wasnt done to handle most of the tweak tools people use. been there, done that.

oh, and the preview, i forgot, man...i trully believe you can make better on that, the brown doesnt help, i would recomend a blue or grey background, since it's a transparent and chrome ( monochromatic ) theme.
