Such an old work. About 3-4 months ago, I was so impressed with the dolls I saw in Akihabara.I came back home I drew and colored this pic roughly from the image I have in my head...I want them to be...like an old painting. Pure and lonely, just only two of them in the lifeless island.[I don't know that you can feel it or not >_<]
It was left uncompleted in my comp for so long...[as same as a ton of sketches I drew --_--"]
I suddenly miss them, so I want to finish this pic...Anyway, this's just a part of full version. Still need to work more a bit on the bg before submitting the full one.

aaaw, they look so cute and affable ! composition is really nice ~ like the way you put characters in the middle and background to both side of them, it gives nicely balanced look to it. positions of the characters is very sweet, it's like the dark coloured boy is protecting and covering the light coloured one. also like the detail that other one of the characters is dark and other light, it creates nicely contrast yet gives good feeling of opposites ^_^ background is very elegant looking and because of the brownish colouring it sure gives the theme of the old painting or photograph. up going stares gives feeling of hope since going upward has always positive feeling. window view is beautiful, like the way you can see water which is glimmering so prettily and the details of the window are neat looking too. broken window with withered plant on it emphasize the feeling of oldness which makes the drawing look more like old painting. details of the characters are wonderful, especially like the way you made hair look so fluffy and the details on their clothes. and the marks on their upper arm is really cool detail. also like the way how dark coloured character's eyes are glimmering, it gives the feeling that though they are alone they have will to continue living since at least they still have each other. and that gives the warming for the atmosphere gently. overall colouring is smooth and since colours are quite natural and neutral, it makes the drawing really lovely to look at. absolutely fantastic work !

I love your art style. No, really, I do, I absolutely adore it. This one is beautiful, and I totally feel the lonliness in their expressions and body language. It's almost like they're a little scared aswell. I wish you could teach me how to colour like that. It's probably too hard to explain though. Anyway, I'll look forward to seeing the complete version

This is such a great pic!! Ur attention to detail is fantastic! i'd like to know what sort of stuff u used to make the bakground so effective, it reminds me of beeswax layered on top of cutouts. ur technique is fabulous. ^ ^

So I was looking at the picture before I read the description... And I was like... Man... Those guys look a lot like a pair of Dollfies I saw on that one website...! And then you said they were based off the dolls! And I was like.. Wao...! O_O I really like this, it's very nice. Makes me sad though. ._.
