Another beautiful image. The black and whites of the bird provide a real contrast to the water colouration. My initial thought when I saw the thumbnail was that you had desaturated the colours on the bird and I thought "Oh no, you can't do that lol" You have also found out that a minimum of 1/1250 sec is about right for these fast movers

Yep 1/1250, preferably 1/2000 for flying birds hey?
And try and hit that sweet spot of the lens f/7.1 - f/11 or thereabouts; sometimes at the expense of a bit of ISO. I hate noise but have come to conclusion that even ISO640 can pay off - get the shot? Right?

Thanks so much. Sharpness come from a great lens - the 400mm f/2.8. Can't be beaten IMHO.
