Apparently this is kind of an issue here on DA, so here's a short tutorial on how to convert DA Points into real money. <3
*hint: DA takes 20% of your money, so make sure you calculate that in the price of what you are selling or consider having them pay you through paypal instead.
If you use this feature you should make sure use the 100p = 1$ system when selling your stuff (adoptables, commissions, etc.) because otherwise you lose quite some money (however, you do so by using points as a currency in the first place).

Technically, it is a possibility. BUT DA has a strict rule against people sending themselves points and converting them, so if you do this it might get you banned. Not fun. help.deviantart.com/927/

No, there isn't. Even if there would be a save-as proof option, people could still take a screenshot. The easiest is: put a preview of your work up (with a watermark as well as a link to your page) and put the rest of it in the premium content folder. That way they can only download it if they pay for it.

nope, this only works with the method above explained or through the commissions widget. other points reciver in other way doesn't count, but it should 'cause it will be a easier way to pay :s

Question: How are people able to put 6 adoptables in a single image yet price them all differently? They don't use the purchase button for that do they? Because they'd end up receiving the whole image (with all 6 adoptables) instead of just the [one] they paid for. Always been wondering about this, thanks.

Usually if adopts are priced differently and can be payed by pressing the purchase button multiple times (till you give the required amount) and as for the file, the person who bought it still only has the rights to the one they bought, none of the other adopts on the same sheet. also in some cases you can note the seller for an individual file

Let's say somebody's hired me as editor and they're paying me in points, how would I be able to turn those points into money? Would making the edited piece of work a commission, crediting it to my client, and getting paid that way get me or my client kicked from DA?

The only way you can convert points into money is in the donation pool or Commisions. I haven't tried that method so I can't say for sure. what you could do is have it sold crediting you then once bought send a copy with the credit to the client. although it may seem like a lot of work unless your willing to risk it.

yes, yes you can! It's up to you, there's a button that says 'convert to points'...there are also 'withdraw money by paypal' and 'withdraw by check'

You can put different stuff in the premium content - that's the whole point of it - even if it's just the same picture without the watermark. Also just saving someone else's adoptables and using them as your own is regarded as stealing.
