ok so here is Rowan's outfit for the Designer Challenge at Different-Art being hosted by ArrellineI chose set 17 (seen here Colour sets ) because when I saw it I thought 'Slytherin' and every time I see something and think 'Slytherin' I have to go for it bc I'm obsessed lol
So once I chose my set and looked at what I had to work with I was like....now what lol
always try to do something edgier for Rowan, just the type of girl I imagine her to be so I came up with this, can't decide if I'm 100% happy with it, may end up deleting it and uploading something else but I'm not sure I will have time, but over all I love the top part of the outfit, and I discovered I suck at making seashells lol

Well, after all I'm even glad that you chose this set! Because the last thing that I would have expected from Rowan was to look like Poison Ivy, and this is definitely something that I approve (since she is one of my favourite comics characters).
But even apart from that, Rowan looks her best in this outfit! It definitely suits her "edgy" personality. And, as Arimus79 rightly pointed out, these colours make her hair stand out quite nicely.
As to the seashell, you made it really well. It is more rounded than the one at my example, but on the other hand your seashell looks more like the way it's usually pictured at coats of arms (and there is a coat of arms behind this colour set!).

yeah I thought she looked a little like Poision Ivy too, which I was not trying to do but is not a bad out come

I made it like 5 times 3 times bc it sucked and twice bc I just kept changing where I wanted/what I wanted around it

Rowan looks like Poison Ivy here because of her reddish hair colour and these leaves placed on skin (by the way, are they tattoos or parts of the outfit?)
And your seashell is nice! Rounded, even like a bit fluffy and thanks to it so nice!

part of the outfit, in my brain if the out fit was real the neck/sleeves would be sheer with the leaves hand stitched on

yeah I love the lacy/transparent fabrics, even in real life, if you've seen 'Say Yes to The Dress' on TLC right now the 'illusion' necklines and sleeves are popular and I love it

Oh, I adore transparent fabrics! Although I rather prefer sheer sleeves/shawls/drapes (don't like scarfs/closed necklines/anything tight around the neck).

I think we've all been there at some point or another. *LOL* I had an interesting time figuring out how to replicate those gears for mine. Not just the shapes but the colors themselves. But yeah, I've done seashells before too, and they aren't easy. But yours really does look nice, so even if you did have to do it a few times, it still turned out good in the end.
