Model Challenge forMy OC: Juniper Locke

Ok, this challenge took me a bit to do. Mostly cause either I had the motivation to make it, but no time, or I had time but my muse had left the building. 's submission had just the inspiration I needed at just the right time. They had a link to a musical piece by Johann Strauss II The Blue Danube www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLyn9R… ;
This gave me the inspiration to really tackle this and I like my end result well other than the shoes and the ribbons for the shoes. But I redid that bit so many time that this is what it is and that's that. I added a bit more to the oringinal design but I like what I have. (I did not feel up to making a background this round)

This design made my brain hurt trying to get in the grove but when I heard that song something just kinda clicked and *BOOM* off I went and knocked this out. I may have added more detail then the original but I am quite please with how it turn out.

Thank you! I really like the way the sleeves look with the rest of the dress. I got a little carried away with adding in more details but I was happy with the result.

Thank you! Lol, She may look lovely but as you can see from her expression she is not happy. Tutu's are not her thing, any more.
Lol, she just yelled at me as I was typing this why she has that look on her face. She use to take ballet when she was young cause her stepmom signed her up for it. It was at those classes that she meet her best friend and fellow demigod André Caine, cause his dad and stepmom ran the dance studio that ballet lessons were taught at. However she had to quit dancing ballet because shortly after they both started at Camp Half-Blood they had been on a quest and she had pushed him out of danger, but injuring herself and her leg in such at way that with the little supplies they had it wasn't able to be healed properly. But she told him that the ability to dance professionally is not worth the price of a friend. Which is way she lets him dress her up in whatever design he comes up with on his quest to be a professional designer.

Yep, I love when I get sudden inspiration for more bits and pieces of her story. Yes I have some Oc's that also would not be to happy if I put them in certain types of outfits. And I'm evil enough that sometimes I kinda want to just for that reason.
Yeah, really it's not too bad of an injury, but it's enough that professionally dancing or professionally figure skating is out of the question. She can still do both for fun, but the level need to go pro would strain her injury too much.
But yeah, I'm really glad that I got the idea for that bit while I was writing a reply to you. so thank you!

Hehehe I'm evil like that too. I got this one OC who's a badass rebel leader who's all tomboy and got the potty mouth of a sailor, and latey I've just had the urge to randomly stick her in a fancy dress.

Better then what I did. I made my strong badass Dragon slayer wear a pink fluffy ballgown and she doesn't like pink, but her best friend and bodyguard forced her into it. And she has a major tan in that dress like they also forced her into a tanning bed and cooked her a little too long. Hmm, after I finish with my new flower dress for round 2 of the new royalty challenge I want to make something using those two from the dragon slayers design I made. That does mean that I really do have to decided on their names.

Thank you! This one was much harder to get started then the others cause I wanted to make sure it was different from my other designs that had black and white in them.
The fringe was the first bit I did after getting the bodice in to the shape I wanted. Lol, It took a long time to do, and then I had to cover all but the bottom to give me a clean slate to work the details on the dress on. With my critic walking in every so often and making some smart ass comment here and there.
And the shoes stumped me for a while, cause I didn't like the way I was making the shoes look the way other people had been doing the lacing for the shoes. So I went a different route, and then a different route from that. This was the last attempt I made before I was going to say to hell with it and go with the style I didn't want to do.
The fringe, the flower thing in the center of the skirt, and the wings on the bodice are my favorite parts of the whole design. (Hmm maybe cause I've been thinking of the shiny part of the bodice being wings is why it looks kinda like a birds face at the waist. Or too much coffee with too little sleep. Idk.

I just noticed the necklace and crown, and while I know they're simple compared to the rest of the dress they look very pretty and elegant

Thank you! Yes it does seem to work for her. I was challenging myself to make sure that I only used black and white. Lol, I had went back and edited it a bit more just a bit ago cause I saw that I had left that window open.
Lol, the detail of the dress itself were actually the easiest part of the dress. Adding the pieces that made up the underskirt and then making the whole dress black again took the most time. But like I had said in the description for this, the shoes took the longest. I redid them so many times cause I wasn't happy with how they looked. I don't love the way they look here but this is as good as I'm willing to do right now.
