Description
Model Challenge for Alternatively titled: not 1950's anymoreMy OC: Juniper Locke
This challenge was to recreate a barbie dress or base your design on the barbie's dress. Mine is more the latter than the former, despite my attempts towards the beginning. Then my muse kinda went "Well why not have make what looks like Sauron's eye on it?" And I was all like "HUH?! But Why?" but I did. I like what I ended up with even though I kinda left the 1950's era dress I was going for behind. Btw hearts are interesting to make using the D&D.

Thank you very much!
I'm so very glad that people like it! It makes me feel a lot better about it. I kept thinking about how I maybe could have done better or changed stuff around.
It was hard keeping to just two colors on the dress. But the challenge of doing just that was fun.

You are always welcome
Well, it is an usual feeling. You work on something and think it is quite nice. Then you save it, look again and start noticing some things that you could have changed or done better. It happens to me all the time.
But on the other hand, you made a really good work on this !

ᑎOTᙓ ᖴᖇOᙏ ᙓᙅᕼO Wow! This is so pretty! It's really accurate for the most part and still gives you the feel of the original in the places where you did different things! Great job with all those designs on the skirt! Really well done!

Awww, thank you!
Yeah a feel of the things on the original I couldn't make with the D&D so I added my own flair to the design. While still keeping the key parts to the whole look that I liked. The heart locket, while it didn't come out perfect, I really did like. Actually I liked working on this whole design. I kept myself from adding the sparkles and shines on the dress, with the exception of the four sparkles on the dress.
The only thin that I wish I was able to do that I couldn't figure out a whatever time in the morning that I had been working on this, would be? How to make the shoes she is wearing open toe wedges and not flats errrr... or slippers? not sure what the most well know name for that style of shoe is. Maybe cause my brain hurts from lack of sleep.

Ɲὄҭἔ Ғʀὄм Ἕƈђὄ Yeah it looks really awesome and you changes were awesome too! Hmm... that is a good question about the shoes. I've never tried to do that but I have several characters who hate heels so it would be useful to know!

Not going to lie that might have been my favorite part about the barbie that I got. That beautiful resting bitch face look.
She was quite fun to make. Even if I did stare at the screen with each added layer of design wondering what next to add.

Thank You! It was super fun to do! not going to lie I think the time I spent on breaks and various planing stages took longer then I spent actually making the dress.

Thank You! I quite enjoyed making it. Especially after I decided to make the design my own verse trying to make what was on the original dress.

Yay! Thank you!
Lol, what really funny is while I was putting some of those D&D on my brother came into the room I was in and was tapping on my arm. I'm sooooo glad that I didn't do anything to mess up the doll then. He apologized when I told him I had been putting things on her then. He thought I had been taking another break.

Oh yay! You like it! I was worried that you might not cause my muse threw the 1950's out the window on the freeway.
Yeah those details were a pain but I really like the overall look. I noticed one is a little off, but by the time I had noticed it I wasn't going back to change it.
I will say this, other than my teal figure skater doll this might be the most creative hair I've done using the Snow Queen maker.

Thanks! It was fun trying to figure out how to recreate the different parts of the skirt.
I had to make the skirt a little bigger on one side so that the design was more equal, but I'm happy with the overall look. Even if it went in a direction that I didn't plan.
Lol, I almost forgot to make the red bow in her hair. Cause I had this mostly done last night but I fell asleep before I posted it. Fortunately I had the window with the dollmaker still open and added the bow this afternoon.
