Okay, this is just pose and shading practice. I wanted to try some different color shading (purple and orange). Yep. Even though the original color was light gray the shading is purple and the highlights are orange X3This is Wisp/Mouse (I don't know what to name her so she has 2 names
)I wouldn't call her a character, since she's just gray with black eyes. And she can change colors/markings. But I draw her a lot :3 and she's always a fox/wolf thing X3
So I'm not too proud of the shading because I was confused about it XD at first I thought the light would come from the top, then from the top left, then the top right soo I'm not sure if the shading makes sense XD
but other than the direction of the shading critiques welcome ^^

First of all, I love the shading, it makes the picture more interesting than if it was just darker and lighter grays. I agree with you, though, that it looks a tad bit strange and confusing as to where it's coming from e.deviantart.net/emoticons/a/a… " width="19" height="19" alt="
The shading on the tail is really pretty, it makes it look like there's more fur and gives it more dimension e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="

Although the hind leg on the right looks like it's actually in front of Wisp's/Mouse's back rather than on the other side of it.
Other than that, I think this looks pretty good ^u^

Well, if you're aiming for a canine, I sugest making the snout longer, lest it looks like a cat in the face.
But I think this looks very nice.

Yes, I see what you mean, I'm not sure what animal I was exactly aiming for, but I agree that it's too short ^^
