Description my brother's green tree python taken with my new baby, my Nikon D200. Very little alterations have been made, I just lightened it up a little in the computer to bring out the color and cropped it.

you may be saying to yourself "that things red orange, not green"--ah, but green tree pythons are red when they're young and only change to green when they get older because they climb higher in the trees when they're bigger next to green leaves.

well, I think they start one color and turn another...some turn green, some are different colors and turn yellow and other colors...I don't claim to be an expert, I just know this one started red and will turn green

oh, so some of them may go through a yellow stage? interesting. I thought they were born yellow.

Lovely little red neonate, but your reasoning behind their colour changes made me giggle :-p

okay, but it's true...you can't hatch an egg in a tree, so when they're young they're colored to blend in with dirt and other things, but when they're older and live in the trees, they blend in with the leaves.

For my taste there is too much saturation. The position of the snake is suh, that the head isn't clearly visible which makes me wonder what is in the picture for the first couple of seconds.. Otherwise it's very nice

hmm, too much saturation, huh? I guess that's where you and I differ, lol. I enjoy vibrant and saturated colors, thanks for the critique, though
