Ok so Iβm in this debate with a friend of mine. We are both are stubborn af so thereβs a chance you answer will affect anything but Iβm still curious on what you have to say on the subject. Do Sangheili/Elites have tows or hooves? I say toes. What say you?

(apologies for the late reply)
Well, The original Halo books say that they have hooves, just like what you see in the original Halo 1 game. (which I still adore)
As the Halo game progressed, different artists illustrated different concepts on the form of the Elites.
Even my own art changed from time-to-time on the design of their legs and feet.
For the sake of the argument, I would go with the original intent of 'snake-like heads and hooves'
However, there are four kinds of feet regarding the design of hooves that some animals have, but mainly involving the number of toes on their feet. Remember that a hoof is nothing more than a large toenail. So now it's a mater of design of the hoof; Toes are going to be needed, but how much hoof is covering them is up to debate.
My personally opinion is this; I like to draw the joint of the foot more pronounced, to show that they have toes, but with a more wholesome hoof similar to a horse, only clefted to two toes. My art doesn't really show it, but I do think this as I draw them. My answer is that they have cleft-hooves.
Here's some images on animal hooves if you're interested.

I always love how you put that nice toned muscle on their legs and the anatomy is just soo puurrfect. Will you be doing an head shot reference of the halo 2 style by chance?

Aww! Why, thank you very much! And yes, I'm working on it right now. I'm hoping that I'll be finished with it in a week or so.
Depending on how much time I have for myself to work on it.
But that's going to be side-views. I'm planing on doing a study on their mouths and jaw structure.

DAWE yay! cant wait to see it hehe and side views at the best, drawing a sangheili from the front on can be so tricky to get right xD
