Hooray - I finished the tomahawk for Matthew's AC3 cosplay today
I think the most annoying part of the build was carving the diamonds. I'm not totally happy with how they turned out, and I carved my thumb in the process (I am so not a carver), but can't do anything about it now! I think the rest turned out well though. I also ended up redoing the tie across the head because I wasn't happy with it, and I think it looks better.
Finished the bow last night, and only the fringing left on the quiver to do then that's Connor's props done!
Will upload better quality pics when I'm not being lazy

I know what you mean. The coat was causing me to go insane, so it was a nice break to make the metal parts. Glad I've done them, they were all weather depended (needed to dry them in the garden) and actually took a lot of time (jeeh for sanding). We do both know that yours turned out way smoother than mine XD.

Aw I'm not so sure about that. I did use a really fine grit sandpaper to finish it (like, 320 I think?), but honestly I think a bit of texture isn't so bad - adds to the weathering! We're on the home stretch because we debut in a couple of days (eeeep!) and tbh the leggings are freaking me out a little bit. We have a nice big piece of deer hide and I'm paranoid I'm going to stuff it up! I've just gotta get in and do it and hope for the best lol. Apart from that I think everything else will come up ok! I hope!
