Holy koolaid momma. This was fun XDAnd Return/Reconciliation fans? Yes. That is Bruiser and Nabooru. Why? Because Rose officially stated to me that it is indeed canon in her stories. It totally happened, and I am already shipping them off. Every one of you should too! What Gerudo wouldn't like some harry Sheikan man who owns an archery shop and is made of win?
The story goes as is, from what I know:
Link, being the King of the Gerudo tends to make Nabooru freak out from time to time by hopping to a different place, and Nabooru has to find him. On one of these occasions, she checked the archery shop, but Bruiser did not have his nephew at the house. Not sure how it happened, but yeah. Bruiser and Nabooru totally had a fling. A BIG Fling. XD And NO ONE else KNEW about it. Can't wait till Rose fills in that plot hole.
I was also being fairly conservative here, considering I'm very sure Nabooru would have gotten him naked by now, but we'll uh... leave it at that.
As for the rest...
Hunter smoochin' Malon, no doubt on the ranch. That's probably what they spend most of their time doing... and giggling. Lots of giggling.
And then we have a rare surprise from me... Link and Zelda kissing somewhere in the Castle where they can be alone... somewhat, seeing as Marni has a tendency to watch from a distance... not to mention read their mail and go all hopeless romantic. Marni is such a cutie.
Bruiser, Hunter, and Marni belong to and Zelda,Malon, and Link belong to Nintendo.

Okay even reading where the fling between Bruiser and Nabs would take place in the story...
What if this fling happened when Link was saaaay still a kid...
and Neesha is Nabs's daughter...
and is younger than Link and Hunter...

I will get to Reconciliations. BUT FOR NOW, I'VE READ RETURN AND NOW I KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON WITH A LOT OF THE ARTS I'VE SEEN HERE FOR A WHILE. IT'S VERY ENLIGHTENING.
And I wanna curse you for poking my curiosity enough to make me read it because FATHER/SON THINGS MAKE ME CRY ALL THE TIME but I did, so it's too late to turn back. I wanted to punch Zelda (still kinda do) so bad. I don't even care I just wanted to punch her. I'm slightly more rage and slightly less forgiving than Link in Return, so if it were me there would be a whole lot of blame before I ever ever began thinking of forgiving her. Argh, women.
...Um, and this is an old piece and all, but it's relevant for me to comment on it now. By default, I like your art. Hunter/Malon amuses me so much you have no idea.

well, as she says in return, dying tends to put a lot of things into perspective. Yeah, she has a lot to answer for, but being an adult is more than just being responsible... it's also about being willing to forgive, regardless the circumstances. Link is just being a big person.

I'm not big enough to actually forgive her just yet, even if I know he does. I was glad she regretted it though.
Seriously, though. He was being hunted! He needed his memory of his fighting if he was gonna survive, and she kept it from him. I'm hung up on that, because I definitely don't take the threat of death lightly. I think I'm missing the point, but I get so into a story that it becomes a personal offense against me rather than the character.

I have to say I love your artwork. You put so much detail into it with the poses. I love how Nabooru is allowing herself to be in a slightly submissive pose with her head tilted back and neck exposed and Bruiser's hand around her arm, but has a hand on his chest which would allow her exert her dominance if she so inclined. 👍: 0 ⏩: 0

I would actually like to see Hunter's reaction most...I mean, unless Bruiser was ever with another woman, I'm sure Hunter's under the impression that Bruiser only had eyes for Aeria, even after she died. I think he'd be disturbed. Not the fact that he found someone else, it's just...awkward with the whole BUT YOU'RE MY DAD AREN'T YOU TOO OLD FOR THIS kinda thing. XD

Marni is the sweetest girl alive, with a heavy romance problem. She's so lovable. Brave to boot.
I agree with you upon Link finding out. But what I REALLY want to know is how Nabooru reacted behind closed doors at Bruiser's death. Sure it was a fling, but we now know that Gerudo can have emotions. (Thank you Gerudo creation myth chapter. XD) I definitely want to see how that affected her if at all.

Oh my god, I loved that Gerudo creation myth chapter so much. So much. It was just amazing. I mean, all of Rose's work is amazing, but yeah, that especially was freakin' awesome.
While I would also love to see Nabooru's reaction, though, I'm not sure it'd be what you might expect. While it was a fling, and while Gerudo do have emotions, Bruiser went out in the line of duty; as a Gerudo, she would probably see that as an honorable death, and so would not allow herself to grieve him as that would be an insult to his memory. I mean, I could be completely wrong, but that's what I'd expect . . .
You should ask Rose, though. If you do, we might end up with another Brayden and Natalia on our hands.

There's a way-too-subtle hint of it in Chapter 6 that I doubt anyone picked up on because I hadn't mentioned it on the forums yet:
"Listen kid," Nabooru says softly after a moment. "I'm sorry about what happened to him. I know it might not seem like it sometimes, but it's true just the same. I kinda liked the big guy. He was all right for a Sheikah."
I love this picture, by the way. ^^ I really like how passionately you draw Malon/Hunter.
ALso, your Nabooru is really pretty!
I wish I could give you better feedback than "I like it" all the time, but I'm afraid your artistic abilities are well beyond anything I'm qualified to comment on beyond gushing, so you'll have to make do.
