Did this in about 2 hours before work. Had some fun with textures and hues after it was done... I'm actually quite satisfied with the outcome.Link belongs to Nintendo.

Well, think of it this way...
he was raised by children (who are rarely nice to one another), at age 10 the weight of the world was on his shoulders, his parents died, his fairy left him, he couldn't find Navi and was kinda forced to save the world again.
I always pictured him a bit... serious, quick to judge, stern, cold-blooded.
Not always though.
I write fanfiction so if you want I could send you one that I think would help with my definition of Link. (at least OoT Link)

Nom NOm speed painting nom nom. You should do it too sometime. It might not be your style, but it's GREAT exercises. Sometimes you can increase your time, or it's great if you have sudden inspiration and just need to get something out in 30 minutes.

I keep trying my hand at it and come up short, but it's getting easier slowly. Maybe one day I'll do something I actually feel like posting, eh?

Lemme add another to the heap of contents praising the textures of this. I especially like the (very lifelike) mottling/freckling of his skin, just the kind of skin a fair-complexioned hero would get after a few years hack-and-slashing out in the sun, and the glow of green embroidery just at his left shoulder.
(Oh, and have I mentioned that finding someone who regularly does fanart for LoZ just makes my day?)

It's kind of scary how much I do Zelda fan art, but I also do a lot of original stuff. I think it's because I love trying out new things with the Zelda crew, like new art techniques or somethings.

Did you paint this on photoshop? What brush is that you used on the background?

Oh what was that brush called again? It's one of the first ones in the Faux finish brushes. I used a bit of a base first, and then texturized it. It's basically a bunch of dots in a row, and they have them in different diagnals. Just click in the arrow to get to the brush options and switch your preset brushes to faux finish.
