This is my Drawing for Animation final. Hope I get a good score on this. BLARG I'MA SNOW BEASTIE!Done with pencil, markers, pen, and a touch of photoshop to make it nice n' crispy.

The momentum on this is really well done. It all feels like it has the right weight and speed (if that makes any sense). I like the style you used!

Here's the REAL story: Joe Olson, my teacher, issued us a final with the theme of Snow Beast showdown. Our only stipulations had to be that our main character had to be based off our previous assignment, they had to have a sidekick, and the picture had to be made for kids between the ages of 8 and 13. We could also fudge that a little bit if we wanted...
But the AWESOME story is this:
Unlike the young boys in her tribe who had to hunt down a decent meal for their right of passage, Shay had to gain her womanhood by slaying the giant leapolf with nothing but the spear on her back. Luckily for her, her chinchilla companion, Chauncey, would help her track down this terrible beast, and put an end to it with her trusty tribesmen spear. She only prayed that she would be able to ambush the beast...
only of course, it doesn't look like she gets that chance does it? lol

He is actually Chauncey the chinchilla, but they do kind of look close in shape, so I don't blame you. XD But, on a biased note... I do like Chinchillas more than chipmunks.

Definitely liking your composition here~ Though I'm pretty sure Joe would insist on more drool and maybe a burp mouth in there to call it complete, at least unless he's changed obsessions again. Nice work! Good luck on your finals!

I actually sent him the nearly finished piece and he didn't even touch my characters. lol. But he fooled around with the background a ton. I'm glad he did too. It just made it tons better. BURP MOUTH FREE! And no, he has not changed his obsession much. XD
