Okay fine, I'm caving and posting what I have of this comic.

In reality, this is me taking a dive into comic making in general, and seeing what I can do with the tools I have available, but it was also on a subject I was dying to do.

This is a Link and Nabooru comic, based on the ideas of Rose Zemlya over on Tumblr. A while back, Rose and a few of us on Tumblr began to talk very intently about the cycles that the Legend of Zelda goes through, and also mostly talked about how upset we were over certain things about Skyward Sword. Over a mutual agreement that we thought Nintendo didn't do the best job in a prelude story to all the Zelda mess, we began to create our own versions of possible Cycles to sate our story appetites. Rose created her own theories, and in them, the Idea for "The Last Cycle" was born. You can see artwork of that if you go deeper into my gallery a bit, and I've labeled them as TLC in some cases. Well, we loved the idea of TLC so much, that we began to expand into other stories. And Rose made another phenomenal possible idea that I simply gushed over, and that was Keaton's Mask (KM for short).

KM features a thief Link of sorts that switches up some roles, namely that Zelda is Link's daughter, and the idea of Hyrule as a nation hasn't exactly come into being yet. In this story, this Link has messed up and has played the "game" once, and lost terribly. This story is basically about fixing what he's messed up, finding trust, and learning to live with past mistakes. A lot of deep issues.

In one of Rose's theories/ideas, the sages themselves are also reborn every cycle - Nabooru, of course, being one of them. At first, I put Link and Nabooru together as kind of a joke pairing, but then Rose kind of thought about it, and was somehow convinced that this was a good idea. (I will admit, I did prod because I liked the idea, and considering I managed to get dragons into TLC, I believe my manipulation powers on these universes is quite noticeable.) Rose also tends to give me many cookies.

She wrote a few writings and a possible chapter 1, but due to my own fascination, I made a fan comic on something that may or may not really happen in the story. Though Rose gave me input and generally seemed happy with what I had, this is nothing solid... though I did make this comic before Nabooru and Link were really a possible thing, and this more or less pushed Rose to make it canon in KM. The cover DOES TEND to give it away, though.
