Description
Another Zelda AU I've been working on, in which Link is blind, and Zelda does a lot of the muscle work. This was portrait after seeing a particular post on tumblr. I loved the purple motif and I decided to use it. XD
AND BEFORE ANYONE SAYS ANYTHING. YES. SHe is EXACTLY How she is supposed to look. She isn't that remarkable, beauty wise. But she has this strong inner core that we are supposed to see.

This is quite an interesting version of Zelda. I like it! Zelda's been put in the position of damsel in distress for far too long, and it's great to see such a strong version of her. She really looks like she could kick some serious butt! I really like the style as well. Ganon should be seriously worried!

I adore her hair, for one. For another, I think she's absolutely stunning. I would call it beautiful, but it probably helps that I find your art beautiful by default. And her confidence is beautiful, I can't put my finger on it better than that. The piercing look in her eyes is just killing me over here. Mudora, you're absolutely one of my favorite artists, and I would love to watch you draw in person one day. I know that sounds like a creepy thing, but I really love watching people draw.

Wow... her strong presence is just... so captivating. I adore the purple motif and the brush strokes just add so much to the drawing. Seriously, I am loving these twists you're giving characters we already know! I hope to see more!

I think you portrayed her, and who and what she is, perfectly here. She's not classically beautiful, her features and strong and defined, like she is and it reflects her personality really well. You can tell from the way she's looking at you that she can and will kick your ass halfway to Mars if you get on her nerves. But at the same time, she's still the Zelda we know; she's looking at us, really analyzing us, and that's the wisdom of her other self.
And what else can I say about your technique that hasn't already been said to death? You are an amazing digital painter and this is yet another work you can add with pride to your portfolio.

Really like how you painted her face - love the brush strokes and colors! Did you use the default hard round brush for this one?
I know you said she isn't supposed to be a beauty queen, but I honestly thought by looking at the thumbnail that it was a boy. I figured it was a woman because of the title and the pink-ness

I think some people are going to have to get used to the fact that some girls look like boys... and some boys look like girls. "Feminine" Is such a subjective word, and I really don't care for it. Everyone has seen the pretty girl. Why do I want to keep doing it?
As for the brush, it was the normal round with transfer on.

I know about that, but I just wanted to know if you made her look masculine on purpose, or because you have a hard time drawing women that look like women. I'm not confronting you or anything - hell, I have a hard time drawing men that look masculine. It's just that people have already commented that your girls look a bit masculine and being able to draw all types of faces (even the not-so-feminine type) is important.

Yes, she is intentionally masculine. And the reason I don't pay attention to any of those comments is because feminine is subjected.
Hell, back in the day, looking freaking PREGNANT was considered feminine, and most dresses were designed to give them that kind of shape.
So really? My version of feminine is not going to align with some one elses. Plain and simple.

Ahaha, the pregnant bit, that's so true. But yeah, I understand. If you do that on purpose, then it's all right.

I know how that is. My jaw line is a bit sharp for a girl's. On the bright side, I can disguise as a boy if need be
