Okay so, after a long while, I finally decided I didn't like the over all composition to the piece and I plan to start over with an entirely new concept.Hur... this is a complete give a way, but I need to tell Rose what her present is anyway.
I want to make a fully illustrated cover of her fanfiction, and then make chapter illustrations for it as well. That's why I asked her in the forums what all the chapter names were. But either way, I'm TOTALLY revamping the cover, because this is driving me nuts.
My second attempt will be much better I imagine. It's going to go off the lines of "running". A theme in the Return - "Where ever you'll run Link, we'll run with you" or something akin to that. So I'm probably going to do a double fold cover set up, with carious characters running after/with Link and an ominous shadow that is Ganon or Dark Link in the back ground grinning sinisterly. I wanted to go with this idea in the first place but for some reason, my drawing ablitlites wouldn't allow me to draw people running. Perhaps that will change now. XD
So yeah, this piece is a dud, but the coloring on the other characters did turn out pretty well.
Hunter and Neesha belong to and Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf belong to Nintendo.

And you SHOULD be excited! lol. I think for your hard work and dedication, you should get something just as dedicated from the fans, so... yeah. That's my reasoning. XD. Plus I'm a die hard fan girl of this story and DANG IT there should be art for it.

I know I haven't said two words about your other attempts, but I certainly oggled them in silence.
It's too bad this didn't go anywhere--Hunter's face is so perfect and the shading is wonderfully dramatic. My eyes keep drifting to Link's tunic and freaking out because it looks like fabric--Zelda's dress too, now that I look at it.
I wish you the BEST of luck with this because it sounds epic and if you manage it, it'll be well worth the effort.

Regardless, whatever you do? We'll eat it up. Especially Rose. You're work is beautiful eye candy, especially your painted pieces.

You'll be happy to know that I've already started the sketch with the new attempt. As for this one, I'm proud of some parts, but whenever I fly by the seat of my pants, sometimes things just don't WORK in a composition. Grrrr... the agony of it all. BUT this new idea is so much better anyway... not to mention capturing people's personality in running form is a tad fun.
As far as help goes, I might not need it on the cover, but if you're willing to help out with the smaller illustrations for the chapter headings, that would be cool. I don't know. I guess we'll see what happens as the Christmas Holidays get closer. (I want to get it done around then... shhhhhhh!)
