Hey you do a lot of art on the iPad as well, that is cool. Your art with the iPad is great. I dont know why but it is easier to paint with than using photoshop and a tablet.

Great work dude .

Thanks very much, I think because you have a direct interaction on the iPad between hand, eye and art it can be easier to make marks on the page. With a tablet (unless a cintiq) you aren't watching the nib directly against the marks being made, which can take some time to get used to.

Thanks again

I think that is exactly it. I know that the iPad is not considered a professional platform to do digital work yet but to be honest I don't think it really matters what medium you use as long as you get good results from it, right?

No worries dude .

Exactly, regardless of medium or tools used the end result and the creative process is all that matters.

That is my opinion also. I have heard people talk down Corel Painter compared to Photoshop but surely it is more about what you prefer rather than what some person or textbook says you SHOULD be using ya know.

Yeah I totally agree with you, completely.
The art should always be the most important part and not what the artist uses.

Yes that is totally it. My iPad 3 should be here in April so more art to do with that . You working on anything new with your iPad?

Congrats on the new iSlab, I'm torn between sticking with my 2 or grabbing the 3, common sense tells me to stick until I see art apps utilising the extra RAM and res for some bigger canvas sizes (or an increase in the HD layers).

I have a ton of sketches on my Pad which I'd love to render up but a recent batch of commissions have prevented any personal work time, perhaps in the next couple of weeks I might bang one or two out?? Look forward to seeing what you do on the new Pad

Ah well I found out that sketchbook pro has got the new high res canvas but that's the only app I know that has it. My main app is ProCreate so if that has a big canvas then I'm made .

Cool, can't wait to see more work from you on the iPad. I plan on making loads of art on my new pad but get this right, people are saying that it heats up to quickly when certain apps are being used and only in 45 minutes...perhaps there is a way around this but I am not sure if this report is 100% accurate.

ProCreate also has a HD size canvas mate, works a treat on iPad2 and according to the guys over at ProCreate works a treat on the 3

Over on iPadCreative they did a 'heat test' and found only the screen increased in heat but it was still only marginally more than the 2 (those extra pixels are bound to kick off more heat). I've heard a ton of reports voicing concerns and 'issues' but most are from people who don't own or use them and simply enjoy 'kicking shit' about lol. Its like the weight issue, its only a packet of gum heavier than the iPad2!! Still lighter than the 1 which I used daily for 18 months without any problems. I have no doubts that you will enjoy it, love it and produce many amazing new pieces of art on it

Awesome thanks for the info on that. I love the blending capabilities with ProCreate and creating your own brushes is always an advantage .

Phew that is a relief, I thought I had spent nearly five hundred quid on a faulty tablet. I can understand that some people are just trying to get people worked up so yea thanks for the heads up on that .

I will enjoy the iPad 3 greatly and thanks for the deviantwatch as well .

I'll be in Vegas demo'ing my iPad art in Nov/Dec for the Autodesk expo but if Apple want to throw a few dollars my way I'd gladly demo the iPad's capabilities

I always love these kind of forest sceneries, you never know where to look really, I love the eyes, they are subtle but very threatening.
