Penelope drawn in the style of the promotional artwork for Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time!I mostly used the ones with Carmelita [link] and the one with Bentley [link] (mostly for glasses) as reference when I did this.
I've been working on this FOREVER. I think I started quite shortly after the E3, (when I heard about Sly 4!
) probably at the end of July or the beginning of June. I worked on it whenever I wasn't busy either working or enjoying the summer weather. But, as soon as school started, I didn't work on it anymore, so it has basically been laying around since Summer :/ I just wasn't happy with it then, but now I've realised (thanks to my boyfriend who said it to me) that I just can't make it more perfect with the tools I have (Photoshop 7.0). So, after working on a few details yesterday, I decided "what the hell" and decided to submit it as it is now. So uuh, here you go
I even added the screwdriver there in quite a late stage, so it's actually a layer of its own. I originally thought "Nah, I'm not gonna include that", but after asking Tuomas and just, well, looking at it, I decided to include it after all.
Time period: June-August (+ November)

I think copying is my best talent in drawing and I was even thinking about taking requests along the lines of copying (like, "draw my OC in this and this(animation, comic, game...) style")
At first I thought "what highlights" but I took another look at the artwork and damn, you're right! O_o These are the kind of stylistic things that are easy to miss... I knew there was something missing from the illuminated-effect but I couldn't quite put my finger on it... So thanks!

Yeah, well that's what I'll certainly do if I ever give out gift arts... Right now I have a few works in progress (and that means I'm working on them reeeeeeeaaaaally slowly)
You just have a great eye for detail ^_^ I did the highlights today and I will upload the new version some day when I get the file from my other computer (which is the only computer that doesn't have an internet, in our household of 4 computers)

Yay! Less than a year actually... According to Gamestop (or something) the preliminary release date is 31th May 2012 ^^

I remember in another Sly4 demo that someone asked on twitter if Penelope or any of the other characters from the last game would appear, his answer is "Its a suprise, I would not put any spoilers." So I take it as a ..."yes...-ish?"...*shrugs*. That is really odd, game companies usually have addresses for fans and people looking for work.
