Because They’re Interesting

Grim Buccaneer, Lord Fathom: Both are quite intimidating and mysterious villains, who at some point betrayed their bosses and it would have been really interesting to get a more detailed picture of these precedents, especially in Grim’s case considering how Captain Colossus saw him as his own child. (Captain Colossus: "Grim, I once trusted you like…a son!"

Grim: "Son…? I…I didn’t know you felt that way…").

Because They’re Cool

Captain Flynn, Captain Frost: two brave, handsome, cold-themed and fire-themed captains. Nuff said.

Because Their Character Makes Sense

Red Jessica: At first I was kinda sceptical about Captain Hook having a girlfriend, but her adventurous spirit and tenderness towards Hook made her a great character.

Because They Have Flaws

ShiverJack: 1. I know he attacked Jake & crew several times but so did every other villain on the show.
2. I know he was not the best uncle ever for ChillyZack but there's proof that he cares about him: 1) ChillyZack truly respects and loves his uncle. 2) There was no reason for ShiverJack to say he was proud of ChillyZack other than him actually being proud of his nephew. 3) ShiverJack may be angry after ChillyZack freezes his body to make the snow snake let go of Jake & crew, but the point is ShiverJack DOESN'T blame ChillyZack for this situation! He blames Jake & crew ONLY! (ShiverJack at the end of "Captain Jake’s Cold-Hearted Matey": "Poor misguided ChillyZack. Somehow his cold heart isn’t as frozen as mine. This is all the fault of that warm-hearted Captain Jake…").

Dread the Evil Genie: A very power hungry genie. But he’s also a very charismatic one.

Because They’re Smart

Doctor Undergear: He reminds a lot of characters like Dr. Eggman, Dr. Wily and etc. and I really like this kind of evil geniuses.

Because They’re Misunderstood

The Sea Witch: She just wanted to become friends with Pirate Princess, but chose the wrong way to express her feelings.

Because They’re An Archetype

Pirate Princess: the "who said princesses can’t be badass" type.

Captain Buzzard Bones: the "who said old men can’t be badass" type.

Pirate Pharaoh: the "at first seemed evil and scary but turned out to be a decent guy" type.

Captain Colossus: the "everyone’s idol" type.

Because I Can Relate

Captain Hook, Smee, Sharky & Bones: Each member of The Jolly Roger is my spirit animal!

Because They Have Redeemable Qualities

Captain Hook: Even when I watched the original movie I questioned Hook’s villainy and thought he was more sympathetic and redeemable compering to other Disney villains (of course I love other villains too), and this show confirms it. (Also, I think the show does a better job at a "hey, let’s make a villain into a more likable person" thing than "Maleficent" and "Alice Through The Looking Glass").

Because They’re Honest

Sharky & Bones: Despite being on Hook's team they are always honest with those around them and even if they tell a lie (but that happened like one time) they confess afterwards because they feel super guilty.

Because They’re Nice

Jake, Izzy, Cubby, Skully: They’re always friendly and ready to help others in need.

Smee: He’s very loyal and always ready to take care of his beloved captain.

Pirate Mummy: A shy and a bit introverted mummy who’s a pure harmless pacifist.

ChillyZack: An adventurous and curious young boy who was a loyal and loving nephew to ShiverJack and even after their fight in “Jake’s Cold-Hearted Matey” he doesn’t hold any grudge against his uncle (ChillyZack as his uncle flies away: “Frostbite! I’ve never seen uncle ShiverJack so angry. I think I better hang out here until he cools down.” So ChillyZack IS going to come back living with his uncle eventually).

Because Of Subtext

Pip the Pirate Genie, Captain Treasure Tooth, Captain Gizmo, Beardini the Pirate Magician: I found all of them really likable in the context of the episodes they were in. Like, they debut episode is on and they appear for the first time but after few seconds of them being on-screen I would be like: "Well, I already like him!" (I had the same with all the villains mentioned in the meme but this space isn’t big enough for more characters ).

Because Of Their Hatedom

ShiverJack: Okay, I wouldn't call it a hatedom but there are people online who don't like him (there are those who like him but you will likely find the hate stuff first), and I find this hate pretty irrational for several reasons {(which I already wrote down earlier)}.

Because They’re Underrated

Like 90% of the cast: Seriously, the only characters that are actually getting attention are Jake & his crew, Captain Hook & his crew, Peter Pan, Wendy & her brothers and Red Jessica. Seriously, that's it! These several characters are the only ones getting fanarts, fanvideos, tumblr posts and etc. (Doing memes likes this I'm trying to take first steps towards improving it. I may do some arts as well).

Because They Changed For Better

Captain Hook: From a greedy and sneaky villain turned into a caring, courageous but still sneaky...anti-hero (near the end of "The Legion of Pirate Villains!" he calls himself a "villainous hero" and the "most villainous evil good guy", which is similar to anti-hero)

The Sea Witch: She cried her heart out to the Princess, improved relationship with her and permanently became Misty the Wonderful Witch.

Because I Can

ShiverJack: I really like this character, okay? I like his design. I like his voice (performed by Mark Hamill). I like how diligently he tries to achieve his goals. I like how he’s fully open about his intentions. (What I mean is – between the person who openly tells me: "I’m going to kill you" and the person who pretends to be my friend just to stab me in the back I would choose the one who’s intentions about killing me are clear). I like how despite being quite a threat he often has the running gag when something cuts off his villainous speech which makes him a bit more like a humorous villain (and makes him cute when he’s angry :3).
