I don't know why, but this reminds me of a Multiplayer stage on halo 3. Anyway, great composition for the shot, I like how you naturally use the overhang to keep the viewer's eye inside the picture.

Yeah architecture can be fascinating, its definitely worth looking for different resources to get inspiration from, it would strengthen your work a lot. It will effect the 'read' of your work what style you choose to go with, I get an almost militarized feel from this one, though it kinda suits the cold environment.
