Oh, duh, obviously Super Nova speaks in red. I totally would have gotten that if I were paying attention.
But in that case, I suppose it's not an alien symbiote. It was apparently watching the meteor. Unless Nova isΒ the symbiote, but then why does Glitter, who seems to only know her as one pony, know her as Super Nova?
So do they have any control over how they switch off? At least they don't seem to miss a beat when it happens.
