Description
Varese Ligure.A peculiar city with a unique old-town part: the city was a fortified system in an oval shape where the houses were built on the exterior wall directly and inside a small square that was later also filled with some houses.
So this leaves us with oval shaped alleys after the first line of houses, where arches and porches open on them. And there at the crossing of the main street some old men were having a rest after a hot summer day of work...
Camera: Rolleiflex TLR with standard Planar 75mm
Film: Agfacolor Optima 100 (what else ???)

Thanks! I will remain hopeful. I am soon travelling to Oregon, which will be my first opportunity to take photos somewhere other than my home state.

this is absolutly gorgeous. Italy....Italy is so gorgeous and you captured that. This picture reminds me of photos from the photography books by Michael and Juliene Russelle. The way you added the people at the end resting really adds to it. beautiful job.

Heh, sure, I told you that you are invited. But the place in the picture is actually quite small, you can walk the whole city on foot. But... eery place has nice angles usually.

yes, the light on the ground was one of the main reasons I started taking pictures. I was also amazed as how the light scattered and lightened up the arches but I have no satisfing picture of those.
