Description
Done for the latest issue of The Stool Pigeon. A little bit tweaked from the version that appears in the paper, but not by much. I don't think it really works that well, it was kind of rushed, so you might need to track back a couple of times to actually understand it.If you're in the UK you can pick up a free copy in one of the many many shops/clubs/bars listed here[link]

I giggled so hard. I love the little dejected star at the end.

This is great.
I know 2 bands that were like sad and angsty, The Cure and U2.
The Cure were sad and emo up to Wish and then they were happy and upbeat.
U2 was like that too and then they had one happy album.

Love the style, the density, and the story Also, the fan is doing what I always wanted to, when someone of my favorite authors lost his/her passion.

I guess it's just too bad that his best songwriting is done when he's unhappy!

It's just the way it goes. No one wants to hear about people who are happier and more successful than them.

This is very well written and is a great concept because it portrays todays contemporary artists that have sold out and the never ending string of trash music that is all superficial that tries to appeal to teenagers who have yet to really explore the music world and seek out its roots. I wish this comic was based on fiction and that this didn't exist today, im waiting on a new musical renaissance that actually supports artist with real talent, with real voices and who play real instruments. Its a shame that the majority of todays society, especially the youth of this generation are completely deaf when it comes to real music.
I love how you have the story being told from 2 vantage points and that you have the main character be the fan and not the artist. The simplicity of the art and color works really well for this piece. The divorce of the rock star had to be inspired by the Tiger Woods scandal haha.
My favorite string of panels are the album to album illustrations as well as the red purple section with all the partying and ice. Great work over all. I'd love to see more, keep up the good work!

This situation is totally relatableβwell except going after the artist bit near the end XDβand told in such a unique way! I don't think I've ever seen a comic quite like this. The colors, arrangement, etc, all executed perfectly. :]
Also, some of your other work reminds me a bit of Janine Rewell, what with the solid colors and pattern-like composition.
Anyways, fantastic work!
