This comic appears in Secret Prison 2.My sister says this says too much about my life and is quite upsetting. However, I kind of meant it to be a broader take on how bizarre and hopeless the shit we do is.

Thanks! I really want to practice black and white more. My stuff usually relies so much on colour and post production digital fiddling but I want to do longer comics and colour is so time consuming.

I love the fact that his ribs are showing, it makes him that much more vulnerable and tiny. And the black and white small panels make it all look so hopeless. A really moving comic.

His name is The Evreman. He is every man. A brain in a skull hovering above a body shaped piece of meat and bone.
He was way grosser to start with, more in line with the gnarly bits in the triangles at the top and bottom of the page.

Does that mean you think people's bodies are basically gross? Or are you just trying to strip them down to the basic components? Either way, you got your message across very well. It makes me want to try to make Evreman's day at least a bit better

This is really great.
I do think anyone can relate to each sentence / panel to some extent. One thing about that 'turn down all offers of potential enjoyment' though: it seems you chose not to depict what happens in social gatherings. However, it might have created a more accurate portrait of life if you did, without really affecting the 'everyday' cycle. Something like 'try to convince everyone else that you have a happy and stimulating life' for instance.
Just an idea, but overall the comic is top notch.

So, if it says a lot about your life, what exactly does it say? If you really meant this to be an interpretation of mundane daily life, then how is it upsetting to be referenced within it? That's basically my day, except I sometimes skip the squishy stuff.

It's only upsetting if it turns out everyone else sees the world as a box of happy. But luckily everyone's just as miserable as me deep down!
