Description
I knnooww it's a bit early but this is an entry for my art department's christmas card contest. Don't think it really works as a card but I think it's nice and snug 'n stuff.Began with paint/collage, with digital characters and other embellishments. I hate the word embellishments.

Awesomely random
And im totally with you on the word embellishments, i work in a craft supplies store and its right up there with
'eel offs' (its a damn sticker, people!)
and 'decoupage'... ummm your cutting out pictures.... stop trying to make it sound complicated....
and my all time fave 'matting and layering' or to people WITH a brain.... sticking two pieces of card together...
ok... rant over...
excellent pic dude
and check out mine i finally did another drawing heheh!

Tiiis the seasons...I totally don't blame you. My mom, the freaky "try to be traditional and normal" person, has already got me practicing christmas songs for the christmas party like 3 hours a day.

Really nice! I like the character design, but I just have a question about your work flow. Do you create the characters with smartshapes in Photoshop, or is it just pen tool in Illustrator (or maybe something completely different)?

They're just done with the polygon lasso tool. Very uncomplicated.
Thanks!
