This is her awesome character Jo, who I just loved drawing, a female but strong and awesome XD
Earthy, sorry about the lack of a background, but I tried to make up for it with lots of extra effort on the shading. Just really wanted to finish it as I found out that I'm going in to surgery tomorrow so otherwise it would be sitting around on my computer.
Anyway, hope you like
I loved doing this picture, played around with a new colouring style, played around with perspective, was fun

I adore this piece - it's so dynamic and beautiful. I love the many, many details (especially the paws) and the way you rendered the fur. I am VERY jealous of your ability to do perspective!

Sorry for the late reply, things have been hectic my side. Aww...sorry to hear about Penny's injury. Has she had the surgery yet? If so, how did it go?

No not yet. It's so expensive we're trying to find a surgeon that is amazing but still a decent price. Especially since my dad's contract ended so there is no money flow and that needs to happen first. :/

Totally know what you mean. Have you tried a veterinary university if there is one near by? They usually charge reduced rates, at least here they do and they have some of the best surgeons.

Yes was have A&M. I believe we checked and it was either a surgery they wouldn't perform or it was the same price? I can't quite remember. I'll check with my mom later today. (:

I will. I just got a hold of a doctor 2 hours from me who will do the surgery for $1,600 which is $2,000 less then any other surgeon around here. I've asked around and done my research and everyone that has been to him has given good reviews and they're very happy with him.
The sad part is her recovery period is months long, and she is so neurotic and continuously moving I have to keep her sedated or else she'll undo the surgery.
Haha my dog is gonna be addicted to pain killers and sedatives!

Well we are 10 days out from her surgery and I just removed the stitches.
She is doing absolutely amazing! No limping, everything is nice and strong and we are going to start with some hydrotherapy soon!
The actual surgery incision is flawless, no swelling and the vet was so meticulous and precise, well it was just amazing.
Penny is healing up well! (:
