Description
Splinter! While never one of my favorite characters, I've never really done a good, finished drawing of him, so here he is! I see him as a little younger (though I'm not really sure how old he was supposed to be in the show); more like mid to late 40s, and still able to kick a lot of ass! Very focused, strong, and wise. A compassionate father, but a tough teacher.Related content

Yeah, that seems to be the general consensus on his age. I feel like he should be more useful than a stodgey old man!
A tattoo would be cool! I'm not sure how you'd convey it with the fur, though...

That's an idea! I actually had an idea for Grumpy Bear from the Care Bears like that--this story (yeah, another story I haven't done much with yet) incorporates all different toys from the 80s in a post-apocalyptic world, and Grumpy's tummy design was a fire brand from Brainy Smurf, supreme ruler of all. It's kinda weird.

I probably will! Actually, I had sketched out a bunch of characters, but I couldn't get them to look the way I wanted in Photoshop, so I kinda left it alone for a while. Now that I'm getting better with my digital coloring, I might go back to it!

This is really great! And a concept I had never really considered before. I love the slice in his ear and the details of the nails. He looks like a force to be reckoned with! And he'd have to be with those kids... Excellent!

Well, Casey would certainly be cool, but just for kicks, see what you can come up with for Rocksteady and Bebop. I think you could have some fun with them! Might need new names for the era, though.

Ah yes! Way ahead of you on all of those guys. I probably will re-name them--for a lot of characters, I'm just using the Japanese word for their name. ...Probably have to get creative for Bebop, though.

Ha! Maybe! For the story I have so far, Bebop and Rocksteady were students under Shredder before their mutation, so they probably won't be quite as stupid! Maybe more naive--bound to Shredder's will through some misled sense of honor.

More technological, actually--I'm keeping his story pretty much the same, except he comes to earth in medieval Japan instead of modern New York. His influence will be similar, but much more profound, given the time period. I'll play up the bio-mechanical aspect of his suit more--more organic in nature.

Hell yeah! I like that idea--the people thinking of them as "gods". Though I don't think they had sewers back then, so the Turtles will probably be from the forests and mountains. Or maybe swamps...

You could have the whole Foot Clan basically dedicated to serving Krang the Star God (except Shredder, of course, who is just using them all). Then they could say that "the Star God has no legs, but many feet!"

That's a good idea! Yeah, Shredder's too much of an opportunist to believe in gods, he's just using everybody--love it! "Many feet!" Ha, ha! That's not bad!
