Description
Splinter! While never one of my favorite characters, I've never really done a good, finished drawing of him, so here he is! I see him as a little younger (though I'm not really sure how old he was supposed to be in the show); more like mid to late 40s, and still able to kick a lot of ass! Very focused, strong, and wise. A compassionate father, but a tough teacher.Related content

Cool idea! But I figured it'd still be the mutagen--brought by Krang from Dimension X, same as the original story. But the mutants are thought of as demons by the villagers!
I do plan on doing Shredder and Casey eventually (Casey will be a pirate!), but unfortunately I haven't had time to add to this series for quite some time. Eventually, though!

Agreed. The turtles are still... well, teenaged. So it makes sense that Splinter would have taught them (grinded them into the dirt on occasion) not that long ago. So spry, slightly scary Splinter is definitely the way to go!
But seriously, your style, inventiveness and precision is amazing!

Yeah, definitely! The original show didn't do a very good job of making Splinter seem like their teacher and sensei--it was almost like they already knew everything and were just babysitting him. I like the idea of Splinter still training and teaching them, and taking an active role in it. I think the new TMNT show does a good job of that!

I think both are cool. But I kinda like the super old and feeble guys, who are incredibly wise, AND could still kick your ass, like the Tortoise guy from Kung Fu Panda, or how I usually picture Splinter... kinda cliche now though. But I do think this is a great take on him too, and would be very fun in a series.

Well, you could argue that he's in a feudal style--just the hakama pants and swords, really. Actually, if I did him again, he'd probably look very similar!

Totally! I loved the first movie--very dark but still genuine Turtles. The new stuff is okay but it's very homogenized and processed; too "tailor-made" to fit kids' recent tastes. I'd like to see something more geared toward classic fans!
