Description
For this feudal Japan storyline, I picture Slash as a brutal, cunning warrior under Shredder's clan, who gets "volunteered" for the mutation experiment. Feeling betrayed, he abandons Shredder and lives on his own as a nomad, taking no sides and fighting whoever the hell he wants. He would be an interesting wild card for the plot!Related content

Yeah, in a way! Β I see him as more of a wild card--he would attack either side if the mood strikes him right. Β More than anything, I think he'd just want to be left alone, maybe hiding in a dead forest, and would attack anybody that encroaches on his territory.

my favorite character! my favorite ninja weapon a kusarigama! and now my favorite drawing! excellent. if it needs anything i think maybe a space universe background. because last show i watched when i was a kid he got sent off with trash into space... not cool

I was always a big Slash fan but the NEVER get him right! The new Dark Leo is probably the closest to how I think Slash should be.

Yeah, I noticed that too, how much Dark Leo looked like Slash! Β Slash in the new Nickelodeon show is really cool! Β I'm not crazy about his design, but they way they portrayed his personality/character in the episode was spot-on.

I actually tried a couple different Shredder sketches, but I never got one I liked, unfortunately. Β And I did sketches for Bebop and Rocksteady, though they were ninja students and not street punks--I never finished the drawings, but I should compile all the sketches I've got so far and post them on dA so you can see! ^___^ Β I have unfinished sketches of Napoleon Bonafrog, Chrome Dome and Metahead. Β I based them all on the original 80/90s toyline.

Those are some cool ideas! Β But I tend to base my characters off of the pre-existing action figures--it's a lot of fun to re-imagine old favorites, especially in this feudal Japan setting!

I'm planning on it! This is technically an ongoing series, even though I haven't added any new ones for a few years. But for Casey I was thinking he'd be a pirate, on the run from British authorities, hiding in Japan.

Ah, unfortunately I'm not familiar with him. As a kid I only saw a few episodes of the 80s TMNT (loved it) and a few of the newer TMNT. Never saw him in there

Ah, gotcha! He was originally a character for the toyline in the early 90s--sort of Shredder's own version of a Ninja Turtle (kinda like what Venom was to Spider-Man). They ended up putting him in the cartoon, but he was all slow and stupid, which sucks. I hear he's also in the Archie comics, but I never read those.

Yeah, he could have been really cool! I think he was only in two episodes anyway.
Oh, yeah, it was those TMNT comics they did under the Archie label. I never read them, but my understanding is that they started off just re-telling stories from the show in comics, then branched out and created their own stories and characters. I think characters like Mondo Gecko and Ray Fillet actually started in those comics!

Ha, ha! Well, as far as I know, they never were in a comic with Archie, just published under the same label. And of course the artwork was similar! I know there was some story going at one time when one of the turtles was totally black, like a shadow. I still have no idea what that was all about.

This is just fantastic...though...I never did watch much of the newer (I guess) TMNT-I did watch some of the seasons-up to the point where they meet Honeycomb (I think that's the robots name) and parts of the Nexus Championship, I don't think I ever saw Slash in the series.
Though, for the Old School TMNT, I saw the episode of where Beebop took his pet turtle Slash and mutated the little guy.
I must dig out Old School Slash action figure now. Oo
