I bought a bunch of flowers when I was 12 and ran away from home. I gave a flower to anyone who was working hard and getting no recognition, or someone who just looked sad.
Finally I just had two roses left. I put one on that very memorial and gave the other to a man guarding John Lennons old home, the place where he was shot.
The guard smiled and I actually saw him cry a little as he reached into his pocket and gave me a little white badge with two words written in black plain print.
Imagine peace.

Oh my. That's beautiful. I wish I had enough courage to do just that and share all the love that I have been offered just as John Lennon did and carry on his legacy. I salute you for caring and loving just as he did.

Thank you!!!
I could probably never be the person John was, and it upsets me that he died because he went home to say goodnight to his son.
