The Disarm movie took me 3 months...but I did take a few kinda long breaks. It really depends on what you want it to be. I want the new one to be awesome...so I don't know how long it will take.

a slideshow? well, if you want to make pictures easily move, make them a movieclip by clicking on them and then pressing F8. Once they are a movieclip, they are able to be tweened. tweening is letting the computer create the frames inbetween two keyframes. to tween, you need a keyframe (the blocks on the timeline with circles on them.) and then another keyframe with some normal frames in-between. (to make frames on the timeline press F5, to make a key frame press F6) then, on the first one, put a movieclip (that you created, and on the other keyframe, (put it in if it's not there) change it's position, and then click on the first keyframe again. there should be a tween menu near the bottom of the screen. grab the pulldown menu and change it to "motion" if all goes well, there should be an arrow inbetween the 2 keyframes on the timeline. then play, or test your movie

so you could tween your pictures in the slideshow to make them move, of make other stuff on the screen move.

Tips: make your FPS at least 20 when tweening
change the ease on a tween to change how it moves along. (speeding up as it goes, or slowing at the end)
you can only tween 1 object per layer
thiunk about how long you want an action to be (more frames makes it takes longer)

many people say tweening isnt good, but all of Disarm was made with tweening

I hope this helped a little and wasn't too confusing
