It adds to the creepiness that somehow its standing in two legs... And of course the color is pretty amazing.

I knew it was part of mythology, but sadly I never searched behind it.
I do remember it was the breath that could kill/turn to stone...
but if sight was there origionally then I'm bothering myself over nothing.
...though it would've been nice to have a certain gray ish breath with it...
But I think the overall image is nice; The coloring and the beast like pig snout makes it more of a beast to fear. Most imagery of it that I've seen to date either make it extensively dangerous or too meek, but this looks right in the middle.
It makes it only more precious and mysterious that it has a chromatic skin, but maybe that's just me
It looks heavy and bulwark (-strong defensive prowwess), but also really packs a punch, eventhough
it doesn't have to in most situations.

Oh wow, this is really cool! The whole image just has this really great downward-sweeping kind of motion to it. And the colors are so juicily visceral.

The colors caught my eye from the thumbnail! You've done such a great job moving the colors through the entire drawing while keeping the creature comprehensible and beautiful- it almost reminds me of fabric patchwork.
