So there I was, writing the next chapter of my fanfic (I am a huge nerd), and alluva sudden I got a hankerin' for some Rickley bromance. So I drew them arguing over what color Wheatley's hair is.

I wanted to play with poses, hands, body and face shapes. I'm not terribly enthusiastic about Rick's legs, but other than that I'm fairly pleased. It took me for-goddamn-ever to figure out how to draw Rick's fist. I'm rather proud of Wheatley's pose -- my first time trying something like that, and I think I didn't make an ass out of myself with it. I realize his left leg (on your right) kind of disappears, but every time I tried to draw the rest of it it made the whole thing look weird, so I just said fuck it.

In the 'fic, Rick the Aperture Science security guard's only in a few scenes, but he's stolen each and every one he's been in (as far as I'm concerned, anyway). I love the dynamic between him and Wheatley, and I'm slowly becoming enamored of the entire bromance in general.

Funny story: when I draw, I draw characters naked first, then go back and add clothes. That process made this picture a whole lot more interesting for a little while.

Anyway, back to work...
