Awww! Pippin is so cute! I remember drawing him with Moxie, the Bernese Mountain Dog, and he was so much fun to draw! I also admire the way you get every angle of his markings included in the ref. A VERY accurate reference sheet indeed.

There's something so satisfying about doing one of these '360' degrees references for a pet, isn't there? It gives one the feeling of knowing every inch of one's companion <3
I should doodle one of Pinto. I actually have really good photo references of her markings from practically every angle, so I can't see why I haven't done one like this before xP

There is- I've come to love Pippin's markings, and see them as unique as any "fursona"'s.
xD You should do one of Pinto! Having good photos help, especially if the subject happens to be moving a bit.

Absolutely, haha, and more so, these days, when people are basically copying off each other and making it 'unique' by adding yet another Twilight something or other >.<
She never sits still for very long, lol, so I know what you mean. I was drawing her the other day, and I had to pry open her sleeping eyelids to see what exact colour her eyes were. They were mostly bloodshot and hawed at that hour, though, so I had to wait until the next day
