I gave this digital painting as a gift to a dear friend for her birthday. She is such an awesome person, and she always gives me new ideas about drawings or good suggestions about everything else...so she deserves this work.

...Ok, this painting was made in Corel Painter X in less than 50 hours with the following tools:

- Digital Airbrush
-Tapered Detail Brush (variant)

I used various reference images, and followed different tutorials (but i didnt like them at all)...

The concept has been inspired by a In Flames song, called Behind Space...i'm digging this band, and their lyrics are often about space.

I hope you like it as i did ;D
