"Quick" Tutorial I did onHOW TO MAKE AN ANIMATED ICON/AVATAR.
- Using Photoshop (CS3)

I didn't know I could do animation right from Photoshop! I think I should connect my art skills with my video making, don't I? I think this tutorial inspired me to create my own avatar. Only if you were a premium member and on was the Critiques buttonβ¦

This is great! Only problem I have is that the file ends up way too big, even if I shorten the frame times and lower the number of frames. How do I make it from 29.9kb to 15kb? :/

I've never used GIMP but I suggest downloading photoshop from the official Adobe site and try it out for free!

I have a big problem... I'm using Photoshop Elements 8.0 and when I go to the windows tab, there's no "animation" button...

Thanks, took me a long time to make since each of my images is a different size (had to take a screenie for each of them on exactly 50 x 50 size), but the result is nice, thank you!

You simply right-click on your icon and hit "Copy image" and then when you open your new file on PS, you hit Ctrl+V, it should do the trick!
