SPOILERS FOR JOURNEY'S END, THE FINALE OF DOCTOR WHO SERIES 4! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!Wish I could put a preview image up...
Anyway, the real title of this is "Second Thoughts" because, even though the Doctor told Rose to go with Hand!Doctor, he still reaches for her in this pic, almost wishing that she would take his hand and they would leave together.
I really, really didn't like the ending of Series 4. I thought it was rather cheap, especially the bits about Rose having a human Doctor to 'grow old with' and Donna having to 'die'. Donna was my favorite companion other than Rose, so... that was... annoying. And I don't think Rose ever really, truely cared about the fact that The Doctor wasn't human and couldn't settle down with her. She loved him, HIM, the PROPER Doctor, not this human copy with Donna's mannerizms (sp?). Yeah.
Anyway, I'm really proud of this piece, hope everyone likes it. It was made for my mom's birthday, actually, because she loves the Doctor and Doctor/Rose, and also found the ending to be sad and disappointing.
Oh, and if you disagree with my thinking, that's fine, just hope you enjoy my art.

Yeah that ending pissed me off. It was all great until it got goofy at the end with the two doctors. Sticking Rose with the extra one was a real cop out. I hate how he kept talking about Rose all season 3, then she finally comes back and he gets rid of her again! Then, twice he couldn't tell her he loves her!
A better ending (aside from Rose staying with him) would have been if he had to drop her off again, told her he loved her this time, and told her no matter what he'd one day return to her. That way even if they never address it again until the show is over, they could at least end the series where he goes back to Bad wolf Bay to the time he left her there.

Yeah... Exactly! It was like, all season three: "If Rose was here blah blah blah... I want Rose back blah blah blah..." And then it was just like: "Oh, hey there, Rose! Long time no see! Buh bye now!" *rollseyes* Not exactly believeable.
That is indeed a better ending. Also, then at least, we could have gotten a Proper!Doc/Rose kiss... Which was another thing that bothered me. *sigh* Oh well, we've still got fanfiction and fanart and fanvideos, eh?

Yeah, it's like how Martha had a crush on him, but he didn't like her back...So that's how he acted with Rose. "Yeah, I know you love me, but I can't be with you...here...take a clone as a consolation prize." Bye!
And I love how The Doctor decides for her that he's gonna dump her off in alt-universe and didn't even ask her. What was the point of the "clone" in the first place? If he died saving them from the Daleks or something that's one thing but the whole idea of growing another doctor from his hand like a clipping of a plant was stupid.
At least you get it!!

I know, seriously, since when did he decide to be the one to make all the decisions in peoples' lives. Maybe she didn't WANT to stay there and take care of his plant-clipping of a clone! Didja ever think of that, Doctor?!

Fuming is fun. But seriously...I swear every show I've had an invested interest in does this to my couples I want together! It's a combination of bad luck and bad writing!
Oh and also how come it was OK for Mickey to "decide" he wasn't going back to alt-universe, but Rose it's the old "bait and switch" approach? Oh 10's never really pissed me off before but that did it for me.

Sometimes... it helps to get rid of the pent up anger that you can't really do anything about since you can't very well go stalk RTD and get him to rewrite it for one of the specials.
