I spent three hours with the birds today - most of the time spent admiring this heron as he fished for some lunch (photos of that part coming soon!). He certainly was not shy at all because I got within a few feet of him. In fact, at one point he flew toward me. I think he realized that I wasn't there to harm him.Looking back at older pictures that I got of the heron , I'd say this is quite an improvement!
